"Scare Yourself Sexy" in Surfer's Paradise

I arrived back in Perth late last night after a fabulous weekend celebrating the lovely Emma's 21+6 birthday and Andrea's stagette (a.k.a. Hen's night). The theme for the stagette was "Scare yourself Sexy" as stated in earlier posts. We all dressed up as scary characters....like "Malice in Wonderland", Devils, Vampires, & Spiders and headed to a dinner theatre called Dracula's.

The show was called Black blood it was a retro comedy show, featuring vampyre themed variety acts. There was lots of spandex, black lace and fangs. The show was hilarious and entertaining....the food could have been better and the drinks were watered down. There is no way I could have consumed a fishbowl of margarita, 3 martinis, and a cocktail without feeling something other than the whooshing of fluid in my stomach!

After the show we went to a bar where we danced the night away and received lots of attention in our outfits. This weekend has encouraged me to start planning and organizing my sister's upcoming stagette. I know that she will not be interested in the games or dressing up but I think I may encourage a weekend trip to Las Vegas! 

Decisions, decisions...

I am almost ready to go to sleep and I have to make a decision regarding future travel plans by tomorrow afternoon, the latest! As I was waiting for my yoga class to begin this evening I received a text message from my friend Ellie informing me that there is a spot for her friend's hen's night (stagette) in Queensland.

We would be going to Surfer's Paradise (a.k.a. Las Vegas of Australia) for the weekend, I would have a free ticket to a dinner theatre called "Dracula". I would have to pay for my flights and accommodation....normally I wouldn't hesitate but the practical part of me is causing problems.

Unfortunately I have only worked one shift in the last two weeks and I would have to go into my Canadian savings to pay for the trip and my rent for the next week or two which makes me uncomfortable. I really don't know what to do....do I go to the stagette and "Scare myself Sexy" (stagette's theme) or do I stay in Perth and hope to get called for shifts....Help! What should I do?!?

My first post...

I feel nervous and excited about starting my own blog....I don't think I would have done this without the encouragement from my dear friend Jocelyn (She also gets credit for the name too)!

The purpose of my blog is to share my stories and pictures with friends and family back home. I hope to write a couple posts a week, depending on how exciting my life is for that particular week.
